Mercedes World & Brooklands Museum - Organised by Mike Walker

A little trip out before Summer ends
The two locations for this event are within walking distance of each other and just off the A3 / M25 at Junction 10, so about 1 hour away depending on traffic.

The plan is to meet at Mercedes - Benz World at 10.30am and have coffee / cake in their cafeteria followed by a walk round the exhibits , look at the test track, look at the sales area, buy a car........? - Entrance is free!

We can then walk to Brooklands Museum, which is 15 minutes away, and spend the afternoon there.

The General Admission price includes access to the new Brooklands Aircraft Factory and Flight Shed, Motoring Village and sheds, collections of cars, motorcycles and bicycles as well as the Stratosphere Chamber, Race Track, Aircraft Park, London Bus Museum and display areas and interiors on the ground floor of the Clubhouse.

Heavy Horse Show at Shoreham - Organised by Joyce Bernard

The show is held in Shoreham TN14 7SA, (opposite the Darenth Valley golf course) and runs from 10.00am to 5.00pm

Attractions:- Veteran tractors, cars, etc. Craft fair. Local produce stalls, and food stalls. Horse-carriages etc.

As this is before our season begins Joyce will send an email to all members before hand with full details.

Sat. 6th October 2018. - (Re-arranged date)
The Angel Islington, Surrounds & the Regents Canal. - Organised by Mike Spurway

Starting with a coffee stop at one of the nice cafe's locally, the walk willl start in earnest at the local Chapel Market (Small but one of London's oldest street markets), then on to visit the local Culpepper Community Garden a little peace. From here its off to hurly burly of the Camden Passage with its antique stalls and curiosity shops.

Then its a gentle walk to join the Regents canal at the Islington Tunnel where we can walk along the canal path to the City Road Basin, where we can partake of refreshment canal-side at 'the Narrowboat' pub. From here members can do there own thing before returning.

Travel:
Train from Hayes to London Bridge, then the underground to the Angel. (times to be arranged).

Tuesday's Summer Evening Social Outings

Meet at pubs at 8pm. Many have opportunities for photography in the surrounding area prior to socialising. All pubs serve food.
